Foggy morning sunrise hike at Jay Cooke State Park

This past Saturday (09/03/2022) we had an amazing magical morning at Jay Cooke State Park! We left the twin cities at 4am and hoped we would get a brilliant sunrise. As we approached Carlton MN there were clouds and thought perhaps we would not get the sunrise. As we got closer the park entrance though we noticed there was some light puling through. We were treated to a magical foggy sunrise!

We spent an hour walking and meandering along the river’s edge admiring and immersing ourselves in the magic of the fog and of Mother Nature! Check out the amazing views below!
